Yesterday, EW exclusively revealed the gamechanging Marvel event “Inhumanity,” wherein the mystical power-granting substance known as the Terrigen Mists is released around the world, creating a massive number of newly-superpowered individuals. Today, we’re excited to share the cover for Inhuman, the new regular comic book which launches at the end of 2013 written by Matt Fraction (Hawkeye) and drawn by Joe Madureira, currently working on Savage Wolverine and known for a legendary ’90s run on Uncanny X-Men.

When he spoke to EW, Fraction was careful not to reveal too much about the comic book. Although the Inhumans aren’t as well-known as some of the A-list Marvel names, the writer describes the book as very friendly to casual readers. “It’s a chance to spray everybody with supersoldier serum and see what happens,” he explains. “Did you know that you had a king? did you know that you had a secret genetic lineage? Oh, and by the way, now you have horns, and someone’s coming to kill you!” He intends every issue to be relatively self-contained, but hints that there’s a cosmic long-term plan for both Inhuman and “Inhumanity.” And of course, he notes that Inhuman offers the chance to create an array of new superpowered characters. “I’m the worst at names,” he jokes. “Firepersonman! Zap! Fire Flame, the Burning Fire!”

Check out the cover of Inhuman #1 below. We can’t confirm the guy in the hoodie is named Fire Flame, The Burning Fire. But we also can’t not confirm it. (He’s probably not.)
