Why Her The daughter of Phylicia and Ahmad Rashad has prodigious talents all her own, earning Tony noms for her powerful turns in Stick Fly and The Trip to Bountiful.

Motherly Guidance ”My mom gives me all my advice,” says Rashad, 26. Like? ”To make sure I love what I’m doing, really, really love it.”

The Future Rashad is recording an album with her band, Condola and the Stoop Kids. This month she plays Juliet to Orlando Bloom’s Romeo on Broadway. ”The challenge with Juliet is, while she is innocent and young, she’s not some wallflower. She’s a smart individual who has wit and humor. I’m excited to explore that side of her.”
