Former 'Bachelor' contestant Gia Allemand hospitalized in critical condition

ORIGINAL POST: Gia Allemand, best known for trying to win Jake Pavelka’s heart on the 14th season of ABC’s The Bachelor, has been admitted to a New Orleans hospital. The 29-year-old reality star is in critical condition “following a serious emergency medical event” that occurred Monday night, according to a statement released by her publicist and quoted by People.

No further information or updates about Allemand’s condition have been given.

After coming in third on her Bachelor season, Allemand joined the cast of Bachelor Pad, another arm of the franchise on ABC. She currently works as a fitness instructor in Metairie, La.
