Following the casting announcement of Natalie Dormer as Cressida and Stef Dawson as Annie, Lionsgate has announced the casting for Messalla in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
“Evan Ross cast as Messalla in
@TheHungerGames: Mockingjay Parts 1&2,” the company tweeted.
The 25-year-old will play the assistant to Cressida, who is part of the TV crew that follows Katniss and shoots short propaganda films. Ross was previously seen as Charlie Selby on The CW’s 90210 and the film Jeff, Who Lives At Home.
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, and others are slated to star in the final installments of the franchise, with the first part of Mockingjay hitting theaters Nov. 21, 2014 and the conclusion being released Nov. 20, 2015. The next installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will hit theaters Nov. 22.
