”Dungeons & Dragons has been a huge part of my life. The book sheds light on the world of [D&D co-creator] Gary Gygax, and it also lets the reader into the mind of somebody questioning how cool this game is. The difference between the author and myself is that I always had a huge sense of pride about playing D&D. I grew up in artists’ housing, so I played with the kids of artists. We thought we were the coolest kids ever, playing D&D. It wasn’t uncommon for the Dungeon Master to buy 6-by-6-foot canvases to map out the entire world.”
