Reason number 259,467 you can’t believe everything you see on the Internet.

Last week, the Internet collectively freaked out over a YouTube video that showed a girl twerking against a doorway, only to be knocked over into a table (Paging Chris Farley!) and setting herself on fire. Uploaded Tuesday, it had been viewed over 9 million times. But for everyone who thought the ‘unbelievable’ video was a bit too, well, unbelievable: You were right. Jimmy Kimmel was behind it.

Kimmel broke the news on his show last night, explaining that the girl is actually a stuntwoman, they filmed the video two months ago, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Miley Cyrus and the VMA Twerk Heard Round The World. He then played a montage of news anchors showing the not-at-all-confirmed-to-be-real video.
