The third time was definitely not the charm for Candice Cody (formerly Woodcock). She returned to play again alongside her husband John for Survivor: Blood vs. Water, yet found herself voted out of her tribe mere minutes into the game. Yet the threepeat offender managed to last all the way to day 11 due to her dominance at Redemption Island. However, her skill/luck finally ran out, losing to hubby John and arch-nemesis Brad Culpepper in a duel. Candice called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) this morning to talk all about it. And there was a lot to talk about.
For the first time, Candice details the insanity of being called while in the operating room and needing to get on a plane just a few hours later to go halfway around the world with John to spend 39 days in the Philippines as alternates for RC and her dad (who were pulled out at the last minute for medical reasons). She also addresses if she feels she was at a disadvantage for arriving on location well after all the other players (I certainly do, as does Jeff Probst, who revealed that in this week’s Q&A).
And, of course, she also weighs in on the man she flipped off and told off in the game, Brad Culpepper. How awkward was their night together on Redemption Island? Did she allow him to spoon her like Marissa? And how does she feel about the man now? Candice spills all, and you can listen to the whole thing right now on the InsideTV Podcast by clicking on the audio player below.
But first, it’s a Walking Dead explosion of epic proportions as Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, and producer/director Greg Nicotero all stopped by the EW Radio studios to talk about the huge premiere episode. How did they film that epic supermarket Death From Above scene? Whose idea was it to have Daryl lick his fingers before shaking hands with Patrick? And which cast member has been pranking the other with massive hotel room service bills? All will be revealed!
