The Star Wars YouTube channel just posted the original theatrical teaser for Revenge of the Jedi, which is what Return of the Jedi was called before George Lucas decided Jedi knights do not like revenge. The preview gives an incongruous amount of time to the speeder-bike scene, and does not feature a single shot of Jabba the Hutt, probably because at that point in the film’s production cycle Marlon Brando was still doing performance-capture work as Jabba. Just kidding! Jedi was made before digital effects, when it was cheaper to just cut Mark Hamill’s hand off. Also notable: Luke is still using a blue lightsaber, not the slick new green saber he would rock in the finished version.
