[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water]

Memo to all Survivor: Blood vs. Water contestants: STOP TALKING! At least stop talking after your tribe loses a challenge, because it seems every week now that someone starts speaking out of turn and then ends up getting themselves voted off the tribe. Last week it was Kat (who attempted to deviate from the plan) and tonight it was Rupert’s wife Laura, who decided to inform Vytas that he was the one being voted off. The problem was she had not cleared saying that with her alliance yet, so her alliance took none too kindly to her impromptu speech. (And neither did Vytas, incidentally so it really was a lose-lose type situation.) As a result, the other ladies of Galang shifted gears and voted Laura out instead.

Earlier in the episode, Kat cried. And then cried some more. After that, she did a bit more crying. In between all these waterworks, Kat managed to lose the duel at Redemption Island and be eliminated from the game (bad) but secure a promise from boyfriend Hayden that he would not break up with her for not making it to the merge (good…I guess).

Other than that, we learned that Tyson has been been eating more on the island than he does back home, Laura M. is not above copying another person’s puzzle to stay in the game, and apparently Tina wants her daughter to date a caveman.

All of this sets the table for next week’s episode, which will see a merge and one person making it back into the game from Redemption Island. My full recap will be up at midnight [UPDATE: Dalton’s recap is now live!] but you can sound off right here and right now on the episode.
