The newest O.C. Housewife has already had enough: Lydia McLaughlin is leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County after only one season on the Bravo show, she confirmed Monday on Twitter.

McLaughlin retweeted the news from Us Weekly, which originally reported her exit. “I never wanted to make a career out of being a housewife. That’s never really been a dream of mine,” McLaughlin told Us. “I want to build my brand outside of the Housewives – I’ve always been really honest with the producers about that. I knew that while I was filming it that I probably wasn’t going to be doing it again.”

While she had the mansion and wardrobe of a Real Housewife, McLaughlin typically stayed out of the drama during season 8, instead focusing on running Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine and her two children with husband Doug: 4-year-old Stirling and 2-year-old Maverick. Translation: The sweet 32-year-old might not have been cut out for the cutthroat world of Housewives.
