Somebody wants more episodes of Sean Saves the World. And that somebody is NBC!
The network has ordered another five half-hours of the struggling freshman Thursday night sitcom starring Sean Hayes as a single dad.
The move comes after NBC gave the comedy an emergency infusion of viewers with a special live episode of The Voice as a lead-in last night, driving it to a series high. The Voice threw its 9.7 million fans at the Sean, which netted 4.6 million last night. Sean still came in fourth place at 9 p.m., though. But maybe the added sampling will pay off in the coming weeks; comedies can grow easier than dramas.
