'The Sing-Off' judges go a cappella behind the scenes -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

The Sing Off Exclusive

(NBC)

Oh, so that’s what they do during breaks on The Sing-Off set! Apparently, in between a cappella music, there’s…more a cappella music!

The Sing-Off premiered its fourth season Monday night to a 26 percent bump in ratings since its last premiere more than two years ago. That increase could be due to many things: a lead-in from ratings powerhouse, The Voice; the presence of a new judge on the panel, Jewel; or perhaps it’s because this might just be the happiest competition show on television.

Nowhere is that earnestness more evident than in the exclusive clip below. Judges Ben Folds, Jewel, and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, join with host Nick Lachey to practice what they preach in between filming, giving an “impromptu” a cappella performance of Blue Swede’s version of “Hooked on a Feeling.” Fingers crossed they’ll re-create the video for David Hasselhoff’s version next.

The Sing-Off returns for its second episode Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
