Here’s to you, Craig Robinson, NBC loves you more than you can know.

The Office star’s comedy project just received a six-episode order from the broadcast network. In the new series, Robinson will play a musician who gets a job as a music teacher at a middle school. According to NBC, “while teaching the kids everything from rock to the blues, he simultaneously learns how to put the school’s rules to the test.” So kind of School of Rock-with-Darryl.

Robinson is coming off his big-screen co-starring turn in the hit comedy This Is the End, and was on NBC’s The Office for nine seasons. NBC has agreed to six episodes of the new show with the working title Mr. Robinson. Executive producers: Mark Cullen, Rob Cullen, Howard Klein, Mark Schulman.
