Country singer Trace Adkins checks into rehab

Country singer Trace Adkins has checked himself into rehab after getting into a fight on a cruise ship. The 52-year-old was headlining a country cruise to Jamaica when he got into an argument with a Trace Adkins impersonator who was singing in a karaoke bar aboard the ship.

According to People, a spokesperson for the country star confirmed that Adkins indeed disembarked when the cruise ship docked in Jamaica and checked into rehab shortly after.

“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism,” a rep for Adkins told People. “As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family’s privacy will be respected.”

Adkins, who has been open about his struggles with alcohol in the past, previously completed 28 days in rehab in 2001.
