Rob Corddry is hanging up his clown shoes to join the world of magic for an upcoming episode of CBS’ Hawaii Five-0.

EW has learned exclusively that the actor, who plays clown/doctor Cutter/Roy Spindell on Comedy Central’s Children’s Hospital, has been tapped to play a former high school classmate of Chin’s (Daniel Dae Kim) who crosses paths with the cop at a high school reunion. Corddry’s character, a professional magician named Tony, is described as a “humorously sleazy” man who has a long rap sheet and soon becomes a suspect in a murder investigation.

The episode – the plot and details of which were voted on by fans late last year – does not yet have an air date. Jorge Garcia also guests in the episode, reprising his role as Chin’s friend and former classmate Jerry.
