Fox’s American Idol ratings actually notched an increase this week — is that a sign the show’s new judging panel is working?

Last night’s telecast rose a tenth of a point among adults 18-49 for the start of the Hollywood rounds compared to last Wednesday’s show. After premiering last season, Idol dropped in the ratings for 13 weeks straight. So seeing some uptick at this point gives Fox a reason to think the show could be stabilizing earlier than usual.

Also: CBS’ Criminal Minds was up 27 percent from its last original and CSI was up 25 percent. ABC’s comedies were largely on par, though Nashville dropped to tie its season low. NBC’s crime dramas were steady. The CW’s Tomorrow People tied its low. Full chart:
