Fun.'s Jack Antonoff wants you to meet his new band: Bleachers -- VIDEO

Bleachers

Jack Antonoff, one-third of chart-topping band fun. and one whole of Lena Dunham’s other half, released a song from his latest side project today.

“I Wanna Get Better,” the first single from Bleachers, features a sing-along-ready chorus with group vocals and optimistic lyrics. This isn’t the first time Antonoff’s been the leader though – he fronted Steel Train, a New Jersey-based indie rock band, before fun.

Steel Train used their roots as inspiration for the high-energy ”Bullet,” borrowing from fellow Jersey boy Bruce Springsteen:

“Kill Monsters in the Rain” starts off slow but builds up to an emotional, angry chorus. Also, A+ for its use of xylophone in the intro.

Bonus: Antonoff’s sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff sang her own version of the band’s “Fall Asleep” for Terrible Thrills Vol. 1, an album that features all-female covers of the songs on Steel Train.
