Marvel fans still have a month before Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, but one thing they don’t have to wait for is Disneyland’s newest addition to its Avengers exhibits, dedicated completely to the First Avenger himself.
EW was on the scene to experience the new exhibit during a special sneak preview. Read on to find out what to expect from the Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage exhibit, opening Friday at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Innoventions.
Though not as impressive as the throne room of Odin that’s featured in Disneyland’s Thor: Treasures of Asgard exhibit, fans of Captain America’s adventures will enjoy many of the artifacts. All five shields that he used in battle are on display, such as the worn-down shield featured in some of the early theatrical posters for the film. A small display case near the beginning of the exhibit also features Steve Rogers’ military suit along with Captain America’s first shield.
As with Disney’s Thor exhibit, this latest Marvel one provides amusement to visitors until they reach the ultimate reason for coming: the meet-and-greet room where guests can take photos with Captain America himself.
