The Great Gatsby star Joel Edgerton will star opposite Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson and Kill Your Darling‘s Dane DeHaan in upcoming period drama, Life. Anton Corbijn (The American) will direct the film, which centers around the real life friendship that blossomed between photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and actor James Dean (DeHaan) when Stock was commissioned to photograph the iconic movie star for Life magazine in 1955. Edgerton will portray Magnum Photography editor John Morris, the man who brokered the deal for the photographs with Life. [Variety]

Starship TroopersCasper Van Dien and The Walking Dead‘s Addy Miller have both signed on to appear in upcoming supernatural thriller, June. The film stars fellow Walking Dead star Kennedy Brice as a 9-year-old orphan whose body is shared with an ancient supernatural being hell-bent on destroying mankind to allow nature to reign supreme on earth. [Variety]

Ciaran Hinds (Munich) is set to join the cast of Agent 47. Hinds joins previously-announced cast members Rupert Friend (Homeland), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), and Thomas Kretschmann (Stalingrad) in the upcoming sequel to the 2007 action film, Hitman, based off the video game of the same name. No firm details on Hinds’ role have been revealed, but THR reports the actor will be involved in a pivotal event in the plot involving a scientist. [The Hollywood Reporter]
