Mad Men and Community’s Alison Brie has signed on to play Will Ferrell’s fiancee in the Warner Bros. comedy Get Hard. Ferrell stars as an investment banker who is facing prison time and decides to enlist his car washer, played by Kevin Hart (Ride Along), to prepare him for life behind bars. Tropic Thunder co-scribe Etan Cohen is directing the pic for a March 27, 2015 release. Brie can be seen in theaters next in the comedy Search Party (out Sept. 12) alongside Krysten Ritter and Adam Pally. [Deadline]

• Steve Carell (The Way Way Back) is attached to star in and produce The Priority List — a drama based on former high school teacher David Menasche’s memoir about his struggle with brain cancer, a seizure that ended his teaching career, and an eventual cross-country journey to connect with his former students. After being diagnosed in 2006 with a life expectancy of only a few months, Menasche is still alive today. [THR]

• Sienna Miller (Factory Girl) is in talks to star alongside Bradley Cooper (American Hustle) in American Sniper. She’d play the part of Cooper’s wife in the Clint Eastwood-directed pic about an accomplished sniper fighting overseas. Kate Mara (House of Cards) and Jaimie Alexander (Thor) were also apparently up for the role. The film is supposed to begin production next month. [The Wrap]
