'Shameless' and 'House of Lies' season finales earn record ratings

Showtime comedies Shameless and House of Lies had good Sunday nights: The two shows scored their highest finale ratings ever.

Shameless, which aired its fourth season finale Sunday evening, had 1.93 viewers at 9 p.m. and 2.83 million for the night, making the episode the show’s highest-rated finale ever – and the biggest telecast of the entire season.

House of Lies aired its third season finale to 731,000 viewers at 10 p.m. and 1.4 million for the night, which also marked the series’ highest-rated finale.
