Three struggling ABC comedies aren’t coming back next season.
Two freshman and one sophomore comedy will end their run this year. Mixology, billed as the longest night in a bar ever, is being cut off. Well-regarded modern family comedy Trophy Wife is also being put on the shelf. And cult-favorite alien sitcom The Neighbors is finished too (still, the show lasted one more season than most critics expected).
ABC is refusing to comment, but reliable sources say all three are done. Also, cast members for two of the shows – Trophy Wife’s Marcia Gay Harden and Mixology’s Frankie Shaw – confirmed the news on Twitter last night (tweets below).
