It’s always a party at After Midnight’s The Cotton Club – and those who happened to be at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre Wednesday night to see some tap dancing and hear some jazz, got a fun surprise.

As Tony nominee Adriane Lenox crooned the famous tune of “Go Back Where You Stayed Last Night,” guests were treated to a call-and-response cameo by Grammy Award winner and jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. Marsalis, the only artist to ever win a Grammy for both jazz and classical records, is also the co-founder of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

After Midnight is currently playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
