Idris Elba played late civil rights leader and South African president Nelson Mandela in one of his more recent roles, but in Sam Miller’s No Good Deed, Elba plays quite the opposite of the beloved political figure.

Elba’s Colin is a murderous escaped con who is especially violent forward women. Insert Terri, played by Taraji P. Henson, a wife and mother of two. There’s a violent storm in full effect (pathetic fallacy!). Colin appears at Terri’s door, asking to borrow the phone for car trouble. He eventually smooth-talks his way into her home. Once inside, Terri becomes another pawn in Colin’s game. Terri must fight to survive, and boy is she in for a night of terror.

No Good Deed is written by Aimee Lagos and produced by Will Packer and Lee Clay. In addition to starring, Elba also served as an executive producer.

Can you handle the terror? For you thriller enthusiasts, check out the trailer here:
