Justin Bieber has been cleared of wrongdoing in an attempted robbery investigation. The Canadian pop star had previously been accused of trying to take a woman’s mobile phone.

Prosecutors, however, rejected the allegations due to insufficient evidence, Reuters reports. Bieber was accused in May of trying to steal the woman’s iPhone after she spotted him in the batting cages of Sherman Oaks Castle Park.

The Los Angeles County district attorney had previously ruled that the May 12 altercation “does not warrant felony prosecution,” but the prosecutor’s office released an evaluation worksheet stating that it would consider a possible misdemeanor charge against the pop star.

Bieber is still under investigation for allegedly egging his neighbor’s home in January. This incident could lead to felony charges.
