The Roots debut Harry Potter rap on 'Jimmy Fallon'

The Roots

As Ryan Gosling once told Rachel McAdams, ”[Harry Potter] wasn’t over! It’s still isn’t over.”

In hindsight, viewers probably could have guessed that Jimmy Fallon’s week of Tonight Show episodes from Orlando would have a Harry Potter component. On Wednesday night, the show included a segment filmed at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, in which clueless parents answered trivia questions about J.K. Rowling’s bestselling series.

But the show took the promotion of the theme park to another level later in the show when The Roots performed a Harry Potter rap. Just a few of the Harry Potter-isms Tariq Trotter name-checked in the 60-second song: Extendable ears, the Three Broomsticks, Butterbeer, Gryffindor, Azkaban, Quidditch, Diagon Alley, and the Hogwarts Express.

The Hogwarts Express now has the perfect soundtrack.
