After his most recent stint on American Horror Story, Joseph Fiennes is returning to TV in a new drama from Carnival Films, Anonymous Content, and NBC Universal.
Nostradamus, which Fiennes will produce and star in, is an hour-long drama from author Michael Boccacino and executive producer Andrew Cosby. The show will follow the well-known clairvoyant on a quest for vengeance after his family is murdered. Nostradamus is described as “a charismatic and self-destructive man who is plagued with dangerous and disturbing visions.”
The show will be set in the universe of the French Royal Court, where “Nostradamus’ pleasure-seeking impulses and passionate thirst for revenge runs headlong into the treacherous epicentre of social and political life of Renaissance era Europe.”
There’s no word yet on when the new series will premiere.
