It’s a big day for superheroes on Twitter—and not just because of Comic-Con.
DC Comics featured a new image of Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v. Superman in its booth at Comic-Con on Thursday, but it was director Zack Snyder who spread the image to the world over Twitter.
The 75 refers to Batman’s 75th birthday, which was Wednesday. You can speculate all you want about that cowl, but we’re pretty sure we recognize the chin—as well as that look of intense sadness (as seen in the first new Batman photo).
Snyder had more fun with an image of the man who gets second billing in his upcoming movie, releasing the below photo of Henry Cavill in the guise of a “Jedi.” (You can hashtag all you want, Snyder—we know Siths use red lightsabers!) There are tons of reasons why Superman’s not about to appear in the Star Wars universe—different studios own the rights; Disney’s not announcing any Star Wars: VII news at Comic-Con; also, just no—but it’s nice to throw fanboys a new fantasy every now and then.
