Each week after every eviction, host Julie Chen will answer a few of EW’s burning questions about the latest episode of Big Brother.
EW: If Donny did not win the power of veto and was still on the block, do you think he would/should have been evicted over Hayden?
JULIE CHEN: No, Hayden probably would have been evicted regardless because Derrick decided to turn his back on the “rationales” and Derrick seems to be running things. Plus, Donny seems to be the most liked person inside the house. Donny also has no one working with him, so he’s not a real threat. Hayden is a threat because he has Nicole and looks strong and has dangerous information that can blow up other people’s game.
Christine was playing a smart game until this week, when she sloppily blew up her alliance with Nicole and Hayden. She emerged as a power player this week, but did she overplay her hand too soon and blow it?
I think she did blow it. She went from being liked by all and secretly in two good alliances to being exposed as an untrustworthy person. It’s going to be hard if not impossible for Nicole to ever trust her again and when the Detonators have to dump one of their own, she’s likely to be at the top of the list.
What pleasure do you get from the double evictions? Do you feel bad that everything has to change, or is there a giddy Julie joy from the total madness of a double eviction night!?
I love double eviction night… Watching last minute strategizing, people blowing up other people’s games, making split-second decisions, digging deep to compete and win competitions… it’s what makes Big Brother awesome! This is where the rubber meets the road!
