Thandie Newton has joined the cast of HBO’s Westworld adaptation, EW has confirmed.

Based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie of the same name, the drama takes place at a high-tech amusement park filled with humanistic androids. The Crash alum will play Maeve Millay, Westworld’s razor-sharp madame whose seen-it-all-before worldview is about to be truly challenged.

Newton joins the previously cast Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, and Ed Harris. The pilot was written by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who will executive-produce with J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, and Jerry Weintraub.
