Musician M.I.A. flipped the crowd a middle finger when she performed during Madonna’s set at the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show, and the NFL promptly asked her for money in damages. Now, two years later, M.I.A. and the NFL have reached a settlement.

The two parties have reached a confidential settlement and all that M.I.A.’s attorney Howard King could offer is that “the matter between the NFL and M.I.A. has been resolved.” It was previously reported that the NFL was seeking upwards of $16 million from M.I.A. in restitution and damages.
