The star at this year’s Video Music Awards wasn’t Miley’s tongue or Nicki’s butt but something much more innocent as proven by the night’s most popular tweets: Beyoncé and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy.

“OMG BLUE IVY JUST PERSONALLY WAVED AT ME,” Katy Perry wrote in a tweet that has now been retweeted over 40,000 times and favorited over 70,000 times. “MY LIFE IS OVER.” Taylor Swift had a similar experience: “Every time I see Blue Ivy, I cry,” Swift mentioned in a tweet that has been retweeted over 18,000 times and favorited over 44,000 times.

According to Twitter, female pop stars dominated the social media site Sunday evening: Along with Swift and Perry, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus also had some of the night’s most popular tweets.

As for Vine, MTV’s clip of Beyoncé singing “Bow down, bitches” from “***Flawless” has been looped over 2 million times and liked over 50,000 times, while a clip of her kissing her daughter, held by Jay Z, on the cheek has been looped nearly 3 million times and liked over 45,000 times.

Vine star Jerome Jarre’s clip, however, is the most popular so far: In the Vine, looped nearly 4 million times and liked by over 130,000, Jarre looks into the camera as Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande dance onstage behind him.
