Shohreh Aghdashloo has landed a guest-starring role on CBS’ new drama Scorpion, EW has learned exclusively.

Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel as Walter O’Brien, an eccentric genius who assembles a team of super-geniuses to combat the complex threats of the modern age.

The 24 alum, who won an Emmy for her role in HBO’s House of Saddam, will play Dr. Cassandra Davis, a psychologist assigned to evaluate Walter and the team following a chaotic and costly conclusion to one of their cases. Because she’s tasked with determining whether the team should be allowed to continue working for the government, Walter is initially wary of Dr. Davis. However, when she questions Walter’s claim to be a man without emotion, he will find himself looking at this relationships in surprising new ways.

Aghdashloo, who recently signed on to co-star on Syfy’s space drama The Expanse, will appear in an episode slated for late October.

Scorpion, which also stars Katharine McPhee and Eddie Kaye Thomas, will premiere Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
