ABC Family made a host of programming announcements on Monday as they picked up their first procedural drama, Stitchers, and ordered a second season of comedy Young & Hungry.

Stitchers follows a young woman working at a covert government agency, whose duty is to be “stitched” into the minds of the deceased in order to solve their murders and other crimes that would otherwise remained unsolved. The pilot was written by Jeffrey A. Schechter, who will executive produce the project with Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken.

Stitchers is new ground for us and I’m excited to bring procedurals to the network,” said Tom Ascheim, President of ABC Family, in a statement. “We think our fans will love the intricate mysteries that Stitchers will solve week to week as much as they love our relationship-driven dramas. We are also going back for seconds of our new comedy, Young & Hungry. Good food, good laughs – of course we want more.”

Young & Hungry follows the hijinks of Gabi (Emily Osment), a sassy personal chef to rich entrepreneur Josh (Jonathan Sadowski), and has consistently done well in its time slot for the 18-49 demographic.
