Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio is set to guest star on The CW’s Latin-flavored family comedy Jane The Virgin, EW has learned.

Jane The Virgin—an English offshoot of the popular Venezuelan telenovela Juana La Virgen—stars Gina Rodriguez as a serious student whose relationships with her boyfriend (Brett Dier), mother Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and grandmother (Ivonne Coll) are thrown for a loop when she learns she’s been accidentally inseminated by a distracted OB/GYN.

Rubio—who has sold more than 20 million records worldwide—will appear as herself on the show. She’ll make her English-language series debut as Xiomara’s favorite pop star, whose unexpected connection to the family presents a bizarre plot twist.

“When I wrote the pilot, I had in the back of my mind, the hope that one day we’d have Paulina Rubio on,” show creator Jennie Snyder Urman tells EW. “It’s a great moment for our character, and for our show.  I couldn’t be more thrilled. Just like Xo, I’m a huge fan!”

News of third season X Factor USA judge’s cameo follows the announcement that Colombian rock star Juanes will also appear on the show. The Grammy award winner will play a smooth-talking music producer.

Jane The Virgin premieres on The CW on Monday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.
