New 'Interstellar' clip gives more clues on film's setting

Interstellar

(Melinda Sue Gordon)

There are few more days until Interstellar is unveiled, but a new clip released Thursday sheds a little more light on the state of the country in the space-travel film.

Time posted an exclusive clip from Interstellar, featuring Matthew McConaughey’s Cooper speaking to a school official on a troublesome textbook that his daughter was reading in class, which goes against the country’s now-staunch belief that the Apollo moon landing was a hoax. McConaughey gets riled up, relaying a poignant story regarding his late wife. See the clip at Time.

Interstellar will be released nationwide on Nov. 7.
