Entertainment Tonight has shared a new clip of Yaya DaCosta “singing” Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight” from the upcoming Angela Bassett-directed Lifetime biopic, Whitney.

The title character’s vocals are actually provided by Deborah Cox, who also covered Houston’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You” in the film’s trailer. The film will follow the tumultuous relationship between Houston and Bobby Brown.

As Bassett told EW in June, “I really just want to tell a story about a boy and a girl who fell in love. And these are the words and this is the place, and these are are the people on the outside, you know? And I want to be as honest as I can about about doing that.”

Whitney airs Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
