French journalist Valérie Trierweiler dated the current president of France, François Hollande, and then wrote a book about it—a book, titled Merci Pour Ce Moment, that doesn’t exactly show Hollande in the best light. And now, probably much to Hollande’s chagrin, that book is becoming a film.

In an interview with French publication Galaactress Saïda Jawad—a close friend of Trierweiler’s—said that she and Trierweiler are developing the film adaptation of the book. But just because the book itself is controversial doesn’t mean Jawad wants the film to be.

More specifically, Jawad clarified she doesn’t intend for the film to be an attack on Hollande: “I want to truthfully tell the story of the fight of a woman in love, even if the story is exceptional because the loved man is president of the country,” she told Gala.

Jawad did not specify a timeline for the film in the interview.
