Star Wars and Skyfall actor Khan Bonfils died on Tuesday during a theater rehearsal in London. He was 42.

Bonfils was rehearsing for Craft Theatre’s production of Dante’s Inferno when he collapsed, according to The Telegraph. Director Rocky Rodriguez tried to perform CPR, but neither the cast nor paramedics were able to resuscitate him. The cause of death is not yet known.

Craft Theatre announced the death on Twitter, writing “His sudden loss is a tragedy and he will be sorely missed.”

Dante’s Inferno was originally scheduled to open on Jan. 8 at the Rag Factory, but it will now open on Jan. 10. In a statement on Craft Theatre’s website, Rodriguez said moving forward was “the only thing we know how to do.”

“We’ve been through a bit of a trauma, it’s all very difficult to stomach,” Rodriguez wrote. “The only thing we know how to do is continue to do what we do. We need to finish the journey that Kan was on.”

In addition to portraying Jedi master Saesee Tiin in Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace and appearing in 2012’s Skyfall, Bonfils also appeared in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life, Tomorrow Never Dies, Batman Begins, and more.
