One Direction helps James Corden promote The Late Late Show

(Hamish Brown/CBS)

James Corden is using his British connections to promote The Late Late Show. In a promo that aired during the Grammys Corden and bandleader Reggie Watts appear with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne. Corden and Watts stand in for Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, respectively. “We’ll be watching The Late Late Show with James Corden featuring Reggie Watts,” Payne announces.

Corden is buddies with the band and even wrote dialogue for their “Best Song Ever” video. He also once put an image of his face on Horan’s butt on his show A League of Their Own

An earlier promo also played on the One Direction theme, but without actual members of One Direction.

Corden’s show starts up March 23. For now, CBS is having guest hosts take on the show, including Adam Pally (totally random) and John Mayer (bringer of sharks).
