“At E! I did what I wanted and I didn’t listen to anybody because I didn’t care what they had to say because I didn’t respect their opinions,” she added of her former network and show that lasted seven seasons. “At Netflix, I do respect their opinions. It’s like going out with a guy you’re proud to be seen with.”
The 39-year-old will see her new talk show debut in 2016. The show’s format is still up in the air, but she detailed Wednesday that it would feature a “healthy mix of everything that goes on around the world.”
In addition, she’ll also produce to standup specials, starting with last year’s Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, with docu-comedy specials that will examine topics from Silicon Valley to unconventional relationships, per THR.
It seems like the biting comedian has found her home in Netflix, calling it the “only option” for a new home post-E!. There’s no word yet if she’ll tie in her particular social media practices in with her shows.
