Someone called the Miami Beach police department’s non-emergency line at around 12:40 p.m. reporting four people were shot at Lil Wayne’s Miami home, but the police have determined the phone call was a hoax, according to Detective Vivian Hernandez.

Young Money Entertainment tweeted at 1:50 p.m. that “Wayne is okay” and “wasn’t home during alleged events.” At that time, police hadn’t entered the home yet. A SWAT team eventually searched every room in the house and found there were no victims. The police are now investigating who made the initial phone call.
