Joe Manganiello exits Ryan Murphy's Scream Queens, Nashville's Oliver Hudson enters

Joe Manganiello has dropped of Ryan Murphy’s new Fox drama Scream Queens.

EW has confirmed that Oliver Hudson (Nashville) will be replacing Manganiello in the American Horror Story-like show about a college campus rocked by a series of murders. Hudson’s casting on Scream Queens is not expected to affect his role his role Nashville, according to People. 

Other members of the cast include Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Nasim Pedrad, Nick Jonas, and Billie Lourd.

No details about the plot or characters have been released yet. Production will begin in the spring, with a series premiere set for the fall.
