Modest Mouse kick off touring in support of Strangers to Ourselves (read EW‘s review here) this week at at New York City’s Webster Hall and swung by the Tonight Show Tuesday for their first late night TV performance in six (!) years to mark the occasion. They performed the album’s delightfully funky “Lampshades on Fire,” and given that they never really stopped touring in the eight years between releases, it should come as no surprise that this rock outfit remains finely tuned.
