John Renbourn, a member of British folk group Pentangle, has died. He was 70.

Renbourn formed Pentangle along with Bert Jansch in the late ’60s, and went on to make multiple albums with the band until they disbanded in the ’70s. Although Pentangle eventually reunited in the ’80s, Renbourn decided to instead focus on his solo career.

More recently, Renbourn’s been touring with English musician Wizz Jones. The two talked about their work in the industry and how they got together in a March 15 interview on BBC. “I got very miserable a while back, and I decided I was never going to go on tour ever again. I got really grumpy,” Renbourn said. “I hooked up with old Wizz, and I loved making music with Wizz. And that’s what takes me out on the road.”
