Twin Shadow to undergo hand surgery after tour bus accident, drummer and driver hospitalized

Following a Friday, April 17 tour bus accident—in which the bus hit a tractor-trailer on I-70 in Aurora, Colorado—George Lewis Jr., the singer and guitarist who records as Twin Shadow, will undergo reconstructive hand surgery this week, while Twin Shadow drummer Andy Bauer and driver John Crawford remain hospitalized and “in serious condition,” according to a press release.

Lewis posted a photo to his Instagram of his injured hand with the following message over the weekend: “Alright…We will do some official statements in the a.m. but…TS band and crew all got pretty banged up myself included…Please just send love. Looks like everyone’s gonna pull through.”

There were 12 people, from both the band and crew, on the tour bus at the time of the accident, according to the release. All shows scheduled between April 21 and May 22 are officially postponed. A full list of tour dates (not yet updated at this time) are on the singer’s website
