Musician Marc Anthony plans to start a new entertainment company called Magnus Media, he announced Thursday. The Miami-based organization seeks to empower Latino artists by leveraging the power of top content creators in the industry worldwide.
“Magnus is a company that is long overdue,” Anthony said in a statement. “It’s simple, really. Latino artists are among some of the world’s biggest brands.”
The company will extend its reach to artist management, music publishing, digital content creation, film and television production and entertainment marketing. Veteran talent agent Michel Vega will serve as Magnus Media’s chief executive officer.
In addition to the business venture, Anthony will embark on the international “Unido2” tour with Carlos Vives this fall.
