Fans of classic Mega Man games have something to look forward to this year, as Mighty No. 9 is officially set for launch in September.

The Kickstarter-backed game from the mastermind of the Mega Man franchise for over two decades, Keiji Inafune, is set for release on Sept. 15. Dead Island publisher Deep Silver announced a partnership with Infaune’s Comcept to bring the game to the PlayStation 4, PlaySTation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Windows PC, Linux and Mac on the 15th to the United States, and on Sept. 18 to other territories. PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS versions will arrive at a later point.

Watch the trailer below for an idea of how Mighty No. 9 evokes its mega roots, but expands on them with a much more modern, beautiful look (and plenty of gameplay alterations across its 12 main stages). The game will also have two-player online play in both competitive and cooperative modes.

Stay tuned for more on Mighty No. 9 before its release this September.
