Miguel announces release date for new album Wildheart

The album: Kaleidoscope Dream The hook: R&B's best new lady-killer has earned a whopping five nods, including Song of the Year (for ''Adorn'') and Best…

Big, rocky week for Miguel. On Monday, the singer released a finalized version of “Coffee (F–king)” with Wale to positive reception. On Tuesday, it came out that he’s being sued for his failed 2013 Billboard Music Awards stunt, crashing into two women after missing the stage. Now, neutral, at worst, news: His new album, Wildheart, will be released on June 30, the singer told radio station HOT 97 on Tuesday.

He also went into detail after one of the hosts admired the relationship between Miguel and his longtime girlfriend. “I really am wild hearted. I’m wild at heart,” he said. “It just means that I follow my instincts. That’s what this album is about. She’s learned that. She’s had to adjust. Had to learn and also embrace, and I love her more for that.”

The singer teased “something really special visually for the music on this album,” something he was unable to accomplish on his last album, Kaleidoscope Dream. Miguel also casually dropped that on Kaleidoscope Dream, he collaborated with Pharrell on tracks that have yet been heard. Now spend the rest of your day thinking of how amazing that duo would be, and get bummed that we haven’t heard it yet.
