We’ve entered the final days of Dave, and the number of shows remaining has dwindled into the single digits. That can mean only one thing: The A-listiest of celebrities are lining up to pay props to the man who shrewdly and ironically redefined the late-night talk show host post.
On Friday, CBS announced the line-up of guests for next week, a.k.a. the second-to-last week of The Late Show with David Letterman. Oprah, George Clooney and Julia Roberts will be among the final guests to swap stories and punchlines with the host in the Ed Sullivan Theater.
As for the following week’s final three shows—we know little about them, other than that they will air on May 18, 19, and 20. Until then, our fingers remain crossed for a Leno appearance.
Here’s the rundown for the week of May 11:
Monday: Howard Stern, Don Rickles
Tuesday: Bill Clinton, Adam Sandler
Wednesday: Julia Roberts, Ryan Adams (musical guest)
Thursday: George Clooney, Tom Waits (musical guest)
Friday: Oprah, Norm MacDonald (performing stand-up)
